The icebreaker's journey from Chile to Antarctica took five days.
The research icebreaker “Noosphere” has successfully reached Antarctica and is located near the island of Helindez, where the station “Academician Vernadsky” is located, according to the National Antarctic Research Center. It is noted that large ships cannot moor to the island due to shallow water.
The icebreaker's journey from Chile to Antarctica took five days: it left Punta Arenas on March 25 and docked at the station on the evening of March 30. It is noted that “Noosphere” delivered to the station not only cargo, but the 27th Antarctic expedition, the 26th expedition will now be able to return home.

Due to the storm near the station, it was impossible to deliver a new expedition to Academician Vernadsky. As soon as the weather changes, the polar explorers will join everyone at the station.
Over the next few days, annual supplies of food, fuel, construction materials, and so on will be unloaded.
It will be recalled that after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, polar explorers at the Academician Vernadsky station initiated several online meetings with children who are forced to experience the horrors of war.
