The Ukrainian had his first fight at this stage.
Ukrainian basketball player “Toronto Raptors” Sviatoslav Mykhailyuk played in the NBA playoffs for the first time in his career.
The 24-year-old defender came on the field in the fourth match of the first round of the series with Philadelphia. Mykhailyuk spent 1 minute 19 seconds on the floor, having managed to earn one foul.
Toronto defeated Philadelphia 110: 102 and reduced the gap in the series to four victories – 1: 3.
It will be recalled that in the summer of 2018, Mikhailyuk was selected by the Lakers in the NBA Draft at number 47. He became the first Ukrainian to be drafted in the club's history.
Mykhailyuk failed to gain a foothold in the Los Angeles team and later moved to Detroit. At the beginning of last year, Mykhailyuk became an Oklahoma basketball player, and at the end of the summer he became a Toronto player, signing a two-year contract.
Mykhailyuk became the sixth Ukrainian in the NBA playoffs. Prior to that, Vitaliy Potapenko, Stanislav Medvedenko, Oleksiy Pecherov, Kyrylo Fesenko and Oleksiy Len played in the playoffs.
