Two Ukrainian films received awards at the film festival in Serbia

The paintings “Vision of a Butterfly” and “Pamphyr” were noted.

and “Butterfly's Vision” by Maksym Nakonechny were awarded at the European Film Festival Palić in Serbia, Derzhkino reports.

It is noted that “Butterfly's Vision” was named the best film of the competition program “Parallels and Encounters”.

“The highest level of filmmaking from a promising young director gives us hope that European cinema has a very bright future,” commented The international jury criticized its choice.

The picture “Pamfir” received THE PALIĆ TOWER award for the best direction from the international jury and Special distinction from the FIPRESCI jury. Announcing the winners, the jury especially noted the directorial work of Sukholitsky-Sobchuk and the cinematography of Nikita Kuzmenko.

Derzhkino also notes thatduring the festival, the audience was presented with the program of Ukrainian cinema “Ukraine in focus” from the Ukrainian Institute. The program included six full-length works by Ukrainian directors.

European Film Festival Palić took place from July 16 to 22, 2022. The European Film Festival in Palic is a bright cultural event in Serbia and one of the most important film festivals in the region.
