A trailer for the film “Klondike ” about a married couple from Donbas expecting their first child. Their story is recorded against the background of the MH17 disaster, when the plane was shot down in the sky over the eastern region, as a result of which all 298 passengers and crew died. The trailer video was published by distributor Arthouse Traffic.
“July 2014, Donbas. The young couple is preparing to become parents. Despite the constant quarrels, the husband and the wife's brother want one thing – to evacuate the pregnant woman. But she refuses to go even when the village is captured by armed groups. Meanwhile, a civilian plane is shot down in the sky above them,” says the film's synopsis.
The director of the film is Marina Er Horbach. Popular actors such as Oksana Cherkashina (“Bad Roads”), Serhiy Shadrin (“Black Crow”), Oleg Shcherbina (“Cherkasy”, “And There Will Be People”) took part in the movie.

Strichka is the winner of the award of the Sundance Film Festival for the best direction within the World Cinema Dramatic Competition program. The film is also a laureate of the Sundance and Berlinale film festivals.
