“Over the past ten years, Ukrainian directors have developed their own authentic and bold style, stylistically based on surrealism. This inspiration, coming from young and promising authors, returned Ukrainian cinema to the center of attention of world festivals even before the beginning of the current aggression. The festival's selection of modern Ukrainian cinema also highlights the female point of view, which brings something new and authentic – whether it is about military conflicts or an intimate drama of growing up and falling in love,” comments Myroslav Mohorovych, program director of the European Film Festival in Palich.
It is noted that this year the festival, organized by the Open University of Subotica, takes place in several locations, including the unique outdoor stage in Palić, as well as Eurocinema, Abazija and Lifka cinemas. The audience will be presented with 130 films from all over Europe in 15 different sections and program blocks.
