The longlist of participants will be announced by the end of October.
The public broadcaster received 384 applications for participation in < strong>National selection for “Eurovision” from 299 participants. The longlist of applicants for the right to represent our country at the competition will be made public by the end of October, Suspilne reports.
“Another anxious morning across the country. Drones, missiles, arrivals, news from the front, volunteer meetings, exchange of prisoners , concerts in bomb shelters, heroism and betrayal, euphoria and suffering – in such a Ukraine, this selection for Eurovision 2023 takes place, which will be held in Liverpool instead of Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa or Dnipro. Many musicians are on an emotional day, many are abroad, some are volunteering , some are fighting. And no matter what, at the end of the reception we have over 300 submitted songs. Yes, many of them are demos, many are just the cry of the soul of people who don't even plan to be artists. Stories about life in bomb shelters , emigration, emptiness from the loss of relatives, faith in our Armed Forces. And yet, this is a vivid example of our people's attitude towards constructiveness, hope. I am grateful to everyone for the applications,” said Dmytro, the music producer of the National Selection for Eurovision 2023 Shurov (Pianoboy).

Next year, Eurovision will be held in Liverpool. The semi-finals are scheduled for May 9 and 11, and the final for May 13.
