Kateryna Tabashnyk lost a loved one.
The mother of Ukrainian athlete Kateryna Tabashnyk died as a result of >the morning Russian rocket attack on a dormitory in Kharkiv.
The athlete wrote about this on Instagram:
“Russian Peace” took my mother's life. How I hate you. Freed me from my home and my whole life.”
As “Suspilne” reported with reference to eyewitnesses, awards and certificates of Tabashnyk, which were kept by the athlete's family, were found under the rubble of the dormitory.
Russia launched a rocket attack on a hostel in the Slobid district of Kharkiv in the morning of August 18. At the same time, in the evening of August 17, the Russian Federation fired at a hostel in the Saltiv district of the city.
Kateryna Tabashnyk was born in Kharkiv and is a participant of the championships of Europe in athletics in the high jump.
