The National Museum of History of Ukraine called June 21 Pectoral Day.
The National Museum of History of Ukraine has made an online exhibition available “Pectoral. Discovery of the Century “, dedicated to the gold breastplate, which was found in the mound Tovsta Mohyla in Dnipropetrovsk region.
The exhibition was opened on July 30, 2021 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the completion of work in the mound. It presents things found during excavations. Some of the items belong to the collection of the National Museum of History of Ukraine, some – donated by the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The exhibition shows the most interesting finds in the field diary. The final chapter was devoted to Mozolevsky and showed the influence of the Pectoral on contemporary Ukrainian art.
Mozolevsky found the golden pectoral on June 21, 1971. This is an ornament of a Scythian aristocrat, who was buried with him in the IV century BC. It has become one of Ukraine's business cards in the world.

According to NV, the Treasury of the National Museum of History of Ukraine has declared June 21 Pectoral Day. The institute plans to celebrate this day every year with cultural events and educational projects dedicated to jewelry.
