Ukraine won another award in artistic swimming.
European Water Sports Championships in Rome.
The sisters successfully performed in the technical duet competition and took first place with a score of 92.8538 points. The teams of Austria (91.9852) and Italy (90.3577) entered the top 3.
Ukraine's synchro team brought another gold in the free team program with a score of 95.1000 points. The team was represented by Marta Fedina, Marina and Vladyslava Aleksiyeva, Olesya Derevyanchenko, Veronika Hryshko, Angelina Ovchinnikova, Anastasia Shmonina and Valeria Tyshchenko.
Ukrainian women won a total of eight gold medals in artistic swimming at the current European Championship. Synchronists took first place in all the disciplines in which they performed. The national team of Ukraine is in second place in the medal tally of the European Championship after Italy.
Synchronized swimming is a water sport associated with the performance of various figures in water to music. In 2017, the International Swimming Federation renamed synchronized swimming to artistic swimming.
