The destruction of Russian sport continues.
Russian clubs have been officially removed from the Euroleague basketball season . This decision was made by the ECA Executive Board.
CSKA, UNICS and Zenit have been suspended from participating in the Euroleague, and Lokomotiv-Kuban have been suspended from participating in the Eurocup.
It is also specified that the results of all other teams in matches against Russian clubs will be annulled.
Note that the Euroleague is the most prestigious basketball tournament among European clubs.
We will remind, on February 24 the president of the Russian Federation Putin made the urgent statement on carrying out special military operation in the territory of Ukraine, having begun large-scale invasion of the Ukrainian cities.
After that, Russian sports began to plunge into complete isolation. There are almost no federations left that have not excluded Russians from their competitions.
