The Russian sports leadership has found a strange way out of isolation.
The Russian Ministry of Sports decided to hold its own world and European championships after all the occupiers' sports found themselves in isolation.
This was announced by Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin at a meeting organized by the Olympic Committee of the Russian Federation.
Matytsin said that the ministry, together with the OCD, is already forming a new calendar of sports competitions. Foreign athletes will be able to take part in a number of tournaments. Russia intends to equate these starts with the status of the world and European championships.
“All athletes and coaches need to continue to work systematically. Only this will allow them to return to the international arena at the right time and successfully solve the qualification problem for the 2024 Games,” said OCD head Stanislav Pozdnyakov, who continues to believe that Russians will be able to go to the Olympics in Paris.
It will be recalled that the International Olympic Committee recommended that all federations exclude Russians from their tournaments.

Earlier it was reported that the International Swimming Federation suspended Russians and Belarusians from the world championships and other tournaments .
