The money from the sale of the painting was donated to help Ukrainian soldiers.
Painting by Maria Primachenko “Flowers have grown near the fourth block “, which was sold for 500 thousand dollars to raise funds to help Ukrainian soldiers, transferred to the National Art Museum of Ukraine. A message about this appeared on the museum's Facebook page.
The painting was sold at an auction held by the Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation from April 29 to May 5. The work from their family collection was handed over by Igor Ponamarchuk and Daria Dobrian. The Primachenko family supported the auction and refused to receive royalties from the sale of the canvas in favor of the Armed Forces.

from abroad, for the first time in the history of Ukrainian auctions the painting was sold for such money. These funds were donated to the purchase of 125 buses for the Armed Forces.
Recently, the National Art Museum accepted Primachenko's painting for safekeeping. When it reopens to visitors, the painting will be presented in a permanent exhibition.
It will be recalled that in the town of Ivankiv in the north of Kyiv region the Russian invading army burned the local history museum, which housed the works of Maria Primachenko >. It later became known that most of the works of the legendary artist were saved by the museum guard and his wife, who took them out of the burning building under fire.
