The President of Ukraine recorded a video address for the International Charity Marathon in Support of Ukraine Save Ukraine #StopWar.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi took part in the Save Ukraine International Charity Concert Marathon. A marathon in support of Ukraine started in Warsaw on Sunday, the event was broadcast by the Polish TV channel TVP.
The concert was attended by artists, public figures, opinion leaders, athletes and volunteers. Among the world-famous stars, Ukraine was supported by Imagine Dragons, Nothing But Thieves, Fatboy Slim, Craig David, Salvador Sobral and Netta. The key goal of the marathon was to raise funds to address humanitarian issues caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The event was also attended by the President of Ukraine. Vladimir Zelensky, especially for the concert marathon, recorded an emotional address to the world community.
“We had only one choice, after Russia started the war – to fight. And stay alive and free,” – the first words of the president.
Footage of Ukrainian victims destroyed by Russian shells, human casualties, was replaced by fragments of hostilities under the emotional accompaniment of Zelensky. The President stressed the “unwillingness” of world leaders to close the skies over Ukraine and the price it costs Ukrainians every minute of this delay.
