Mother and brother of 11-year-old gymnast who died in Mariupol are looking for relatives

Relatives of the deceased Ekaterina Dyachenko are hoped to be found alive.

Dyachenko's close and familiar families hope to find surviving family members in Mariupol. Mother Marina and brother Artem, the dead 11-year-old gymnast, survived the Russian bombing of the house and were hospitalized, Obozrevatel writes.

The tragedy occurred on March 10, during another cynical shelling of civilian infrastructure by the Russians, the house where the Dyachenko family lived collapsed. In front of Marina Dyachenko, a wall fell on her daughter and husband. They died on the spot. She and her son were rescued from the rubble and taken to the №3 hospital in Mariupol.

Unfortunately, the occupiers subsequently fired on the medical facility, and since then contact with them has been lost.

“We still have hope that they were able to escape. We are looking through the lists of evacuees, but we haven't found them there yet. However, the Russians are forcibly taking the surviving Mariupol residents to Donetsk. We have no information about these people. that Marina and Artem are alive, “says the gymnastics coach.

Anastasia, the coach of 11-year-old Katya, a resident of Mariupol, recalls how people risked fleeing the besieged city under hail. Unfortunately, the Dyachenko family did not have time to do so. But she does not give up hope of finding at least the girl's mother and brother.
