In a video message published on Instagram on Saturday, September 17, he stated that he does not consider himself to “foreign agents”. The artist emphasized that he is not engaged in political activities and has not received money from concerts in Ukraine for many years.
“I am engaged in the humorous genre, political satire, I have been engaged in this for 28 years. I started under Boris Mykolayovych Yeltsin. If I address my subscribers or viewers outside the genre, as a citizen, as a person, I do it completely sincerely. Sincerely and remaining honest to myself,” Galkin said.

He called the pretext for recognizing him as a “foreign agent” in Russia far-fetched, adding that he is not going to give up the genre of humor and satire “to suit the political situation”.
