“I am very grateful that our work is recognized. My cooperation with the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra has always been mutually reinforcing and enriching. I did a lot of research into modern classical music and moved from it to the very origins, that is, in the reverse direction. The orchestra had a traditional background, but also a very special attitude to music, a desire to play. So together, we bring both deep analytics and a lot of passion, emotional contact with ourselves and the material to the performance. We can concentrate on a program for weeks to give our author's interpretations time to really mature. For me, this is especially telling when we prepare the works of modern classics — Stankovich, Adams, Skoryk, Ligeti, Kolomiyets. I am grateful that the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and I can share our love of music with each other and with the world. That our largely fresh, atypical approach is so distinguished and welcomed. That all this energy we put in, all these rehearsals is not in vain. That people can really hear the difference,” said the conductor.
