Nina Kravitz is a Russian producer, DJ and singer who was accused of sympathizing with the aggressor president Vladimir Putin. For example, at the Coachella festival shortly after the annexation of Crimea in 2014, Kravitz performed with a cardboard figure of the Russian autocrat.
After the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the DJ did not directly oppose the aggression. On February 26, she published a video in which she wrote the word “Peace” on a piece of paper. And on May 17, Kravitz wrote a post in which she stated that she “does not understand the politics and processes that she creates on social media” and does not “consider it necessary to discuss what is happening on social media, because it can increase the degree of hatred and not promotes understanding”.
