Czech public figures have stated that the President of Ukraine today is defending peace for the whole of Europe.
Czech Catholic priest, theologian and philosopher Tomas Halik and former diplomat, director of the Vaclav Havel Library Michael Zhantovsky offer to present the Nobel Peace Prize to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the Czech news agency ČTK.
The letter to the Nobel Committee notes that Russia's war against Ukraine has become a symbol of the struggle for global values. Opposing the Russian Federation, today Zelensky is defending the whole of Europe.
“He showed an example of courage, one of the most important human qualities. He is a man who inspires the world with his humane approach and beliefs,” added Czech public figures.
