“RB Leipzig” did not include the anthem “Union “Before the face-to-face match of the teams in the 31st round of the German Bundesliga.” The club explained that they did not want to include the anthem “Union” because its melody is similar to the anthem of Russia.
“We have invited 600 refugees from Ukraine to this match,” said a representative of Leipzig. Before the meeting, the announcer of the stadium greeted them and duplicated the words in Ukrainian.
