Hrushevsky's two-volume work was published in France

The French-language edition of “An Outline of Ukrainian people” Mykhailo Hrushevskyi. The translator of the study of the Ukrainian historian, Dmytro Chistyak, informed about the new book in the local publishing house of Christoph Shoman.

“Now for the French-speaking reader, a comprehensive overview of Ukrainian history up to the beginning of of the 20th century, which will help answer key questions about the centuries-old struggle of Ukrainians for self-assertion, about our language and culture, about our relations with European civilization – in contrast to numerous speculators from the enemy camp,” said the translator of the book, which can be purchased at the link.

Mykhailo Hrushevskyi (1866- 1934) is one of the prominent figures of Ukrainian culture. The author of more than 2,000 scientific and literary works, collected in 50 volumes, he was also the head of the Ukrainian parliament in 1917-1918, and then survived exile and returned to the USSR, where he suffered Stalinist repressions.
