Help for cultural and educational figures: how to get paid in Europe

Financial assistance is available in Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Slovakia.

European states continue to support cultural figures from Ukraine and their families, who due to the full-scale invasion of Russia were forced to leave their homes and were left without a permanent source of income. Yes, the international fund Creators for Ukraine was created, thanks to which hundreds of Ukrainian authors and musicians received assistance.

Poland

citizens of Ukraine involved in the artistic and cultural environment of Ukraine and their families. To apply, you must have a PESEL issued between February 24, 2022. More detailed rules for providing assistance can be found on the ZAiKS website.

Those who organize activities in the field of culture, art and art education for victims of the war in Ukraine can apply for a grant from the ZAiKS Foundation called Creators for Ukraine. The maximum grant amount is PLN 20,000.

Czech Republic

The Czech collective management organization OSA – Ochranný svaz autorský, a partner of the UAASP, has initiated financial support for Ukrainian musicians and their families. The main goal is to support cultural figures and provide an opportunity to work in the profession on decent terms. To receive payment, you must fill out an application on the website.

Lithuania

The Ministry of Culture of the country offers cultural and artistic figures of Ukraine who have received temporary asylum on it territory, a scholarship of 1,800 euros. To apply for payment, artists must provide a letter of cooperation with Lithuanian cultural organizations.

That is, Ukrainians are given the opportunity not only to receive financial assistance, but also to continue their professional activities in the following areas: architecture, librarianship, circus, fine arts, design, ethnic culture and folk art, photography, cultural heritage, literature, museums, music, dance, interdisciplinary art and theater. Slovakia

Slovak author's association SOZA Slovenský ochranný zvaz autorský continues to raise funds to help Ukraine, has already managed to raise more than 28 thousand euros.
