Dovzhenka on the occasion of Independence Day was presented to the soundtrack of the ethnic group “DahaBrakha”, whose music recently also accompanied the cartoon “Mavka. Forest Song”. The restored film appeared in the Takflix online cinema.
“The soundtrack at the same time voices the film from the perspective of a person of the 21st century, and preserves the authenticity of the feelings and references of the 1920s and 30s”, – it is noted on the website of the streaming service, which is called the Ukrainian Netflix.
The film is a story about a peasant who, with the help of new equipment, plows private boundaries “on kulak fields”, whose enthusiasm will cost him dearly.
