Living in a closed circle of addictive toxic relationships, from which she has almost lost hope of getting out, a woman receives a strange call from her suicidal mother, which forces her to stop being a victim.
Ukrainian short film Anna Yatsenko-Sobolevska's “Operator Victoria” was selected for the competition of the International Film Festival in Odense, Denmark. This ICF was founded in 1975 and is considered the oldest and largest of its kind in Denmark.
The main character is an online psychologist who provides professional help every day, although the woman herself would not mind similar therapy. She lives in a codependent relationship with a drug addict husband. He works at night, and during the day he is immersed in attempts to control the addict. The couple has a son who lives with his grandmother during family troubles, who herself has established total control over the child. Meanwhile, Victoria is torn between the dilemma of who to live for – the child or the husband.
