Russia continues the war against Ukraine in cyberspace. The hackers managed to disable the entire Internet.
The network of the telecommunications company Ukrtelecom has experienced a powerful cyber attack from the Russian Federation. The vast majority of users have lost the Internet, according to Economic Truth, citing the company's press service.
The enemy continues to try to disable Ukrainian communications and the Internet. Ukrtelecom's IT infrastructure came under fire. As a result of the cyber attack, more than 70% of network users remained online. The company claims that they immediately began to resume the servers.
“In order to preserve the network infrastructure and continue to provide services to the APU, other military formations and users of critical infrastructure, we were forced to temporarily restrict the provision of services to most private users and business customers,” Ukrtelecom said.
The company reassures customers – this is reflected, so that work will resume in the near future. Asked to be understanding of the inconvenience, referring to the specifics of work in wartime.
It will be recalled that at the beginning of Russia's military invasion of Ukraine on February 24, hackers hacked into the European satellite Internet system. The effects of cyberattacks are still being addressed.
