Kyiv residents and guests of the capital will be able to see eight paintings.
On the occasion of the celebration of the 31st anniversary of the Declaration of Independence The “Film Echo” project of Ukraine will be held in Kyiv. The screening of films within the framework of the project will take place from August 20 to 27, Kyiv City Council reports.

Kyivkinofilm noted , that this is the X movie marathon for the Independence Day of our country. Everyone will be able to view Ukrainian paintings, as well as meet creative film groups.
“Together with specialists, we have selected a selection of patriotic films, which Kyiv residents and guests of the capital will be able to watch for free in municipal cinemas during the week. The best way to honor history and remember the most important events in the life of our country is to watch Ukrainian cinema. The war continues on the cultural front, so it is necessary to popularize the Ukrainian artistic product”, – said the KP “Kyivkinofilm”.
Schedule of sessions within the project
– a creative meeting with the Ukrainian actor, director, screenwriter and producer Viktor Andriyenko will take place in the “Leipzig” cinema on August 20 (starting at 15:00), as well as a screening of his author's film “Ivan Sila” . Admission is free;
– in the Start cinema on August 21 (starting at 17:00) there will be a screening of a Ukrainian fantastic family film about the adventures of a boy and a superhero dog “Foxter and Max”(director Anatoly Mateshko). Entrance is free;
– in the “Ray” cinema on August 22 (starting at 5:00 p.m.) there will be a screening of the historical fantasy film “Storojova Zastava” ( directed by Yuriy Kovalev). Entrance is free;
– the full-length animated fairy-tale film “The Stolen Princess” will be shown in the “Fakel” cinema on August 23 (starting at 5:00 p.m.). (director Oleg Malomuzh). Entrance is free;
– in the cinemas “Leipzig”, “Florence”, “T.G. Shevchenko Cinema”, “Torch”, “Start” and “Promin” on August 24 there will be pre-premiere screenings of the Ukrainian war drama ” Sniper. White Raven” (director Maryan Bushan);
– in the “Florentsia” cinema on August 25 (starting at 17:00) there will be a screening of the historical action “Zakhar Berkut”, adaptation of Ivan Franko's historical novel of the same name (directors Akhtem Seitablaev and John Winn). Admission is free;
– the movie “Taras. Return” (director Oleksandr Denysenko). Admission is free;

– in the cinema “Lira” on August 27 (starting at 15:00) there will be a screening of Mykhailo Illienko's film “Toloka” and meeting with the creative team of the film. The tape was based on 66 lines of Shevchenko's ballad “At that Kateryna…”, and the story was supplemented with memories from the childhood of the legendary Ukrainian actor Ivan Mykolaichuk.
