Ukrainian ex-world champion is waiting for the end of the war.
Former world heavyweight champion Volodymyr Klychko (64-5, 53 KOs) at the age of 46 continues to consider the possibility of returning to the ring.
The boxer noted that the condition for this is the end of the war in Ukraine:
“I also learned that despite the war, you can't forget about life. Sport is a part of my life.
I'm glad Tyson Fury won. My return to the ring? I don't want to promise nothing grand, but if the war in Ukraine ends soon and our borders exist without Russian invasion …
If I'm in good shape, who knows? Maybe I will have a dream to beat George Foreman's record. It motivates me to get up every day and play sports. Everyone has their own motivation, “Klitschko was quoted as saying by Sport.ua with reference to Bild.
In his last match on April 29, 2017 in London, Wladimir Klitschko met with Anthony Joshua and was knocked out by eleventh round. The legendary boxer later decided to end his career and refused a rematch.
George Foreman won the title at the age of 45 and became the oldest world champion in heavyweight.
