Usyk dedicated his victory over Joshua in the rematch to Ukraine and the ZSU

The world champion thanked his compatriots for their support.

Ukrainian world champion according to the IBF, IBO, WBA Super and WBO heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) commented on his victory in the rematch against the British Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).

” I want to thank everyone who prayed for me. I want to thank God for his help that he gave me today. Thank you to Saudi Arabia.

I dedicate this fight to my country Ukraine, the Armed Forces, to everyone who defends my country, all of Ukraine.

This fight is already history. It will be watched by many generations, especially the round where they tried to beat me hard. But I persevered and turned the fight in my favor,” Usyk said immediately after the fight .

The Ukrainian won by split decision of the judges: 113-115, 115-113, 116-112.

It should be noted that also in the rematch, the Ukrainian boxer won the belt of the world champion according to the magazine The Ring. Usyk became the first boxer in history who became the owner of this title in two weight categories.
