Ukrainian track and field athlete Yaroslava Maguchykh won the World Indoor High Jumping Championships.
The tournament took place in Belgrade, Serbia. The Ukrainian conquered a height of 2.02 meters and left behind the Australian Elinor Patterson (2.00 meters). Nadezhda Dubovitskaya from Kazakhstan entered the top 3 (1.98 meters).
Another Ukrainian Irina Gerashchenko took the fifth place with a result of 1.92 meters.
It is worth noting that Maguchikh won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Indoors, her best result was winning the 2021 European Championship. The Ukrainian also has a silver medal at the 2019 World Cup.
