The award was won by a Ukrainian athlete.
Ukraine Andriy Protsenko won bronze in high jump at the 2022 World Championships in Athletics in Eugene, USA.
The 34-year-old athlete cleared 2.33m on his first attempt, which was enough to take third place. The Qatari Mutaz Barshim (2.37) became the champion, the silver medal was won by the Korean Woo Sang Hek (2.35).
Protsenko's medal was the first for the Ukrainian national team at the 2022 World Championship in Eugene. For Protsenko, this is the first outdoor world championship medal in his career.
It should be noted that Protsenko is a native of the Kherson region, which is currently under the occupation of Russian troops.
