Ukrainians successfully started the competition.
The national team of Ukraine won the first gold medal at the Invictus Games – “Games of the Unconquered”, held in The Hague (Netherlands).
According to the official Facebook page of the Ukrainian team, the first place in the shot put was taken by Rodion Sitdikov with a result of 9.46 meters.

In addition, Artem Lukashuk and Ivan Geretsun won silver and bronze medals in the long jump on the first day of the competition.
