There will be no championship winners due to the war.
Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association decides on early termination of the 2021/22 season in the UPL , the UAF press service reports.
In the near future, the UAF will officially pass this information to UEFA. The calendars of events of men's and women's teams, taking into account the martial law, have also been approved.
The season has been declared incomplete, so the championship will be considered unplayed. Shakhtar is two points ahead of Dynamo after 18 rounds. All clubs have previously supported this step.
In addition, the Ukrainian Cup draw has been canceled. As for the European Cups of the new season, UEFA plans to apply for Shakhtar and Dynamo (Champions League), Dnipro-1 (Europa League), Zorya and Vorskla (Conference League).
