The Ukrainian ex-footballer was forced to miss the training process.
Assistant head coach of St. Petersburg “Zenith” Anatoliy Tymoschuk got into a car accident while training at the club, “Championship” reports.
According to the source, the accident was minor, so no one was injured. Tymoschuk himself was forced to miss the team's training in St. Petersburg.
It will be recalled that 43-year-old Anatoliy Tymoschuk is the record holder of the national team of Ukraine – he has 144 matches and 4 goals. The native of Lutsk is known for his performances for “Volyn”, “Shakhtar”, “Zenith” and “Bavaria”. He has been working for St. Petersburg's Zenit since 2017.
After the war began, the ex-footballer did not leave the St. Petersburg club and did not support Ukraine in the fight against the occupier. For this, Tymoschuk was deprived of all titles and coaching license in Ukraine.
