Two Ukrainian athletes won gold medals at the European Wrestling Championships in Budapest.
Alina Grushina-Akobia became the European champion in the weight category up to 57 kg. In the battle for gold, she defeated the bronze medalist of the 2020 Olympics Evelina Nikolova from Bulgaria.
Tatiana Ryzhko also won the gold medal of the continental championship in the Hungarian capital. In the final in the weight category up to 65 kg, he defeated Alice Manolova from Azerbaijan.
Another award was won today by Ilona Prokopevnyuk, who won bronze in the weight category up to 62 kg.
It should be noted that yesterday, March 31, the national team of Ukraine won two medals at the European Championship. Alexandra Khomenets won silver (up to 55 kg), and Alla Belinskaya became a bronze medalist (up to 68 kg).
