The Ukrainian ex-footballer was forced to miss the training process.
Assistant head coach of St. Petersburg “Zenith” Anatoly Timoshchuk was in a car accident on the way to training the club, according to the “Championship”.
According to the source, the accident was light, so no one was injured. Timoshchuk himself was forced to miss the team's training in St. Petersburg.
We will remind, 43-year-old Anatoly Timoshchuk is the record holder of the national team of Ukraine – on his account 144 matches and 4 goals. The native of Lutsk is known for his performances for Volyn, Shakhtar, Zenit and Bayern. Since 2017, he has been working in the structure of St. Petersburg's “Zenith”.
After the start of the war, the ex-footballer did not leave the St. Petersburg club and did not support Ukraine in the fight against the occupier. For this, Timoshchuk was deprived of all titles and coaching license in Ukraine.
