The boxers can still have a second fight.
The second fight between the Ukrainian world champion in the WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO heavyweight division Alexander Usik and the British Anthony Joshua may take place in June this year, said promoter Eddie Hearn.
The promoter of the British boxer believes that Usik will be allowed to leave Ukraine during the Russian military aggression.
On September 25 last year, Usik defeated Joshua by unanimous decision of the judges and took away all his titles from the Briton.
On February 24, Russian President Putin issued an urgent statement on a special military operation in Ukraine, launching a large-scale invasion of Ukrainian cities, and Usik joined the ranks of territorial defense.
It should be noted that due to martial law, men between the ages of 18 and 60 are prohibited from leaving Ukraine.
