Veres head coach Yuri Wirth has sold his UEFA Cup winner's medal, and all the money will go to help the Ukrainian army, according to the UPL club's official website.
The specialist organized an auction on Instagram, which lasted three days. The auction ended at 220,000 hryvnias.
“I will be very happy if this money helps save at least one life,” said the coach.
Wirth won his award as a goalkeeper for Shakhtar Donetsk with the team in 2009.
We will remind, the Ukrainian Premier League is on a pause after the beginning of war which was started by Russia in the territory of Ukraine.
