The Ukrainian boxer touched on the topic of war during a conversation with journalists.
World champion according to the WBA Super, WBO, IBF and IBO super heavyweight Olexandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) spoke about Russia's military aggression.
“It's hot in Ukraine right now because the Russian Federation is trying to kill us all and sends bombs to us,” Usyk said in a comment on the JOE YouTube channel.
The boxer also touched on this topic in an interview with Fight Hub TV:
“Over the last four days in Ukraine more than 100 missiles have been fired. They are hitting residential buildings where people live. There are no military bases or infrastructure there.
These are shopping malls, hospitals. These are normal cities with no military facilities or anything that can produce military equipment.
I don't get this information from TV or the news. I get it from friends who are in Kyiv and in Ukraine in general.”
Remember, last September 25 Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision m judges and took away all his titles from the British.
The rematch will take place on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). All championship belts of the Ukrainian will be on the line.
