The Ukrainian will try to defend the titles.
WBA, WBO and IBF super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) with a rematch with Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) will end cooperation with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing.
“This is our last fight with Usykom in terms of promotion, so it is better for Joshua to do his job,” said the Ukrainian's co-promoter Hearn.
It should be noted that in addition to Matchroom, the Ukrainian works with Oleksandr Krasyuk's K2 Promotions.
Let us remind you , on September 25 of last year, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision of the judges and took away all his titles from the Briton.
Usyk returned to Ukraine and entered the territorial defense after the beginning of the Russian military invasion. Later it became known that the world champion left the country to prepare for the rematch against the British.
The second fight will officially take place on August 20 in the city of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
