UPL should start at the end of August.
UAF President Andriy Pavelko told in which regions it is planned to start a new UPL season.
“The start of the UPL is Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, Lviv Oblast, Zakarpattia Oblast, probably Ternopil Oblast. These are our regions that have many opportunities for football infrastructure. We will work with all authorities to pre-launch the championship in these regions. This list can be expanded. We understand that this is a big challenge.
Perhaps a solution for our clubs participating in UEFA competitions , to give an opportunity, if two clubs compete in the European Cups, they could, within the framework of the championship, having the opportunity not to return after the European Cup matches, play their face-to-face matches abroad, having previously agreed between themselves and warned the UPL,” Pavelko said on the air of the “CHYSTYI” program PODCAST”.
We remind you that the last season of the Ukrainian football championship was completed early with the military invasion of Russia. The first place remained with “Shakhtar”, which, based on the results of 18 rounds, was ahead of “Dynamo” by two points. The new UPL season should start at the end of August.
