The Ukrainians created a number of opportunities, but were unable to score.
On September 27 the national team of Ukraine met with Scotland in the final round of the Nations League season.
In the first half, the national team of Ukraine could score several goals at once, but the implementation failed. First, Yarmolenko did not actually hit the empty goal after a wing pass from Mudryk, and then Dovbyk came face to face with the goalkeeper and did not win this duel.
In the middle of the half, the referee awarded a penalty for Stepanenko's handball, however later reversed his decision thanks to a video replay. In the end, the teams went to the break with no goals scored.
After the break, the Ukrainian national team continued to dominate and created several more chances. The goalkeeper saved the British after shots from Mudryk and Ignatenko, and Dovbyk was repeatedly caught offside. In the end, it was not possible to score the winning goal.
