Ukrainians played the first match of 2022.
Збірна України held the first match since the start of the war and defeated Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany with a score of 2: 1.
The most notable on the field was the debutant of the Ukrainian national team Mykhailo Mudryk – Shakhtar player in the ninth minute. The midfielder ran on a throw from his partner and managed to overtake the defender with the goalkeeper, after which he sent the ball into the empty net.
