Famous cyclist Jan Ulrich organized a charity auction to help Ukraine in opposition to Russian aggression, reports Sport.ua.

The 48-year-old German put up for sale a bicycle on which he became the champion of the Tour de France in 1997.

The lot was sold for 40 thousand euros. The money was sent to the Heart for Children Foundation, which will spend it on medicines, food and other necessities for Ukrainian refugee children.

Jan Ulrich is also the winner of the 1999 Vuelta, the Sydney Olympic champion. -2000 and three-time world champion.
