Legendary German tennis player > Boris Becker was sentenced by a British court to 2.5 years in prison, according to the BBC.

The 54-year-old athlete was accused of hiding 3 million euros in assets and loans to avoid paying off debts. Becker was declared bankrupt five years ago. In 2017, he was unable to repay a home loan in Spain.

According to the investigation, Becker did not declare some property in Germany, his share in an apartment in Chelsea, and hid a bank loan.

< Boris Becker is the winner of 49 ATP singles tournaments and a six-time Grand Slam winner. During his career, he earned about 22 million euros. In 2003, his name was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
