The grandmother and grandfather of the Ukrainian gymnast Radivilov died in Mariupol

Athlete is experiencing a personal tragedy due to the war with Russia.

One of the best Ukrainian gymnasts Igor Radivilov is going through a tragedy in the family – the athlete's grandparents died in the blockade of Mariupol .

This was reported by Radivilov's wife Angelina on Instagram, reports Sportarena.com.

” Today we learned that my husband's grandparents died in Mariupol. To mourn and never forget, “wrote the gymnast's wife.

It will be recalled that Mariupol continues to be under siege by the Russian occupiers, and many people remain in basements houses. The city is almost completely destroyed.

Igor Radivilov is a bronze medalist of the 2012 Olympics in London in the pole vault. The gymnast also won two silver and one bronze medal at the world championships and many awards at European tournaments.
