The first solar eclipse of 2022: online broadcast

Eclipses cannot be observed in Ukraine.

April 30 will be the first in 2022 year solar eclipse . Residents of the Southern Hemisphere will be able to watch it. You can't see the phenomenon in Ukraine, but people in our country can watch it online.

Solar eclipses occur when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun and partially or completely obscures the star for observers from the planet. During the current eclipse, the Sun will take on the shape of a crescent moon. According to NASA, during the maximum phase of the eclipse, the Moon will cover about 60% of the solar disk.

The eclipse will begin at 21:45 in Kiev, and will reach a maximum at 23:41. The eclipse will end at 02:37 on May 1.

The broadcast is scheduled to start at 20.45.
