The first solar eclipse in 2022 will take place this week

It will not be possible to see the eclipse on the territory of Ukraine.

The first solar eclipse in 2022 will take place on April 30 . Residents of the Southern Hemisphere will be able to observe it, according to Space.com.

It is noted that the eclipse will be visible in Antarctica, South America, as well as in some parts of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Residents of Ukraine will not be able to watch the eclipse, you can see it online:

The eclipse will begin at 21:45 in Kyiv, and will reach a maximum at 23:41. The eclipse will end at 02:37 on May 1.

Solar eclipses occur when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun and partially or completely obscures the star for observers from the planet. During the current eclipse, the Sun will take on the shape of a crescent moon. According to NASA, part of the solar disk covered by the moon will depend on the location of the observer. Yes, the maximum eclipse will be seen in South America, where 64% of the solar disk will be closed.

The last solar eclipse in 2021 could be observed on December 4 . The total eclipse phase then lasted two minutes.
