The ex-captain of the Finnish national football team has accommodated refugees from Ukraine in his house

Tim Sparw spoke about active assistance to the Ukrainian people.

Former captain of the Finnish national football team Tim Sparv told on activities aimed at helping Ukrainians affected by Russia's military aggression.

“First of all, I would like to express my condolences to Ukraine and all Ukrainians. I can imagine how difficult it is for your people now. I have been with my family for a long time I thought about how I could help your country and how I could be useful.

At first we transferred money, took part in protests against this war on the streets, tried to draw attention to the problem on social networks and all possible information platforms, that's all were good decisions, but I understood that something else needed to be done, so I decided to make my house in Finland available to Ukrainian refugees

I was once contacted by a woman who told me about a family from Ukraine who I thought I might be useful, so I offered my apartment to Ukrainians with a boy and a girl. oy.

I do not stop there and try to help in the future – I understand how difficult it is to feel helpless in a foreign country. I read the news, watch photos and videos from Ukraine, and it upsets me a lot. Ukrainians did not deserve such horror, “Sparv said in an interview with the Football 24 portal.

The footballer also gave an unequivocal assessment of Vladimir Putin's regime:

” He became one with Stalin and other dictators. In fact, all this is irrelevant – only the pain and suffering of Ukraine are important. They are both disgusting. The current ruler of Russia is doing terrible and horrible things. “
