Dmytro Zakharchuk liberated Ukraine from the Russian invaders.

“Dmytro Zakharchuk died in the battles near Kherson – European champion, medalist of the world fin swimming championship and master of sports of international class. Eternal memory, hero!” – said in the message.
Zakharchuk was a pupil of the “Aqualider” Junior High School and a prize-winner of many international tournaments. After the start of the Russian invasion, he changed flippers to weapons.
During the war against the Russian invaders, more than 130 athletes died at the front.
