18-year-old Barcelona midfielder Gavi received award to the best young footballer in Europe Golden Boy-2022
Gavi in the final round was ahead of such footballers as: Jude Bellingham, Karim Adeyemi (both – “Borussia” Dortmund), Eduardo Kamavinga (” Real Madrid), Pedri, Ansu Fati (both – Barcelona), Antonio Silva (Benfica), Fabio Carvalho (Liverpool), Wilfred Nyonto (Leeds), Josko Guardiol (RB Leipzig), Jamal Musiala, Mathis Thel, Ryan Gravenberch (all Bayern), Fabio Miretti (Juventus), Nico Gonzalez (Valencia), Nuno Mendes (PSG), Giorgio Scalvini (Atalanta), Nikola Zalewski ( Roma”), Benjamin Seszko (“Red Bull Salzburg”) and Ienoma Destiny Udogye (“Udinese”).
Gavi is the second Catalan representative in a row to win the award. In 2021, Pedri received it.
Note that the list cannot include footballers who are over 21 years old and do not play in one of the highest divisions of European championships.
The award ceremony will take place December 7 in Turin.
