Kevin de Bruyne proved to be a responsive person.
Manchester City and Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has backed a Ukrainian man who was injured in a Russian bombing of Mariupol.
16-year-old David with a leg injury was in the Zaporozhye hospital, where the wounded are brought from Mariupol.
“He was playing football with two friends when the rocket fired. One friend died suddenly, the other was still seriously injured,” wrote journalist Ioani de Riike, who covered the war in Ukraine for the Belgian newspaper DeMorgen.
When the young player learned that the journalist was from Belgium, he told her that he was an ardent fan of De Bruyne. The journalist passed this message to Kevin, who decided to record a video message to the injured guy.
“Hello, David, this is Kevin de Bruyne. I heard what happened to you. I'm sorry. What's going on there is not good. I hope this little message will cheer you up. I hope you will fight for your life and that you will get better soon. And I hope that one day you will see live how I play, and I will be able to show the best game, “said De Bruyne.
